The Ford F-150 is a pickup truck that needs very little in way of an introduction. This impressive vehicle has earned the love of consumers by offering impressive capabilities that are consistently at the top of its class. The latest version of the F-150 is tasked with the difficult challenge of holding up the truck's legacy. The 2018 Ford F-150 in Cullman AL is up for this challenge.

Ford recognizes that not every pickup truck owner has the same requirements. In order to appeal to just about every owner, the 2018 F-150 is offered in a wide variety of trim levels, and with multiple engine options. Through all these options, Ford has crafted a truck that is ready for any challenge. Regardless of your needs as an owner and driver, there will be an F-150 for the job.

2018 Ford F-150 Engine Options and Performance Ratings

The 2018 F-150 can be equipped with a litany of engine options. Six total engine options will be offered on the 2018 F-150, five gasoline and one diesel.

Standard equipment for the 2018 F-150 will include a new 3.3-liter V-6 engine. This engine will produce 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. The second engine offered will be the first of three EcoBoost engines available on the F-150. This 2.7-liter turbocharged V-6 is rated at 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

Traditionalists will be happy to know that the F-150 will continue to offer Ford's 5.0-liter V-8 engine. The V-8 has been improved for the 2018 model year, and now produces 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

Two versions of Ford's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine will be available on the 2018 F-150. The first will produce 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. A high-output version of the 3.5-liter turbocharged V-6 will be powering the special Raptor trim level. This impressive EcoBoost engine is rated at 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. The 3.5-liter engine delivers the best towing ratings available on the truck at over 13,200 pounds, when properly equipped.

The final engine offered on the 2018 F-150 will be the all-new 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 engine. This engine will be available in the Spring of 2018, with performance numbers available closer to the release date.

In addition to the six engine options, the 2018 F-150 will be offered in seven trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited and Raptor. Ford will be offering all of the best comfort, safety and technology features the company has developed on the 2018 F-150, making this the most advanced version of the truck every produced.
